AAU sent a letter to Senate leaders urging them to quickly confirm Sethuraman Panchanathan as the director of the National Science Foundation
AAU, EDUCASE, and 27 other associations today sent letters to House and Senate leaders urging them to address the needs of college and university students as they work to address issues with student broadband access and improve the nation’s broadband infrastructure.
AAU joined ACE and 42 other higher education organizations on a letter to Senate leaders to urge them to “make public and private nonprofit colleges and universities eligible for the paid sick and family leave refundable tax credit created in the ‘Families First Coronavirus Response Act’ (FFCRA).”

AAU joined ACE and 81 other higher education organizations on a letter to congressional leaders to reiterate their April 9 request for an additional $46.6 billion to address near-term financial needs on campus.
AAU, together with COGR, APLU, and AAMC, sent a letter to the Office of Management and Budget urging the office to extend until September 30 the flexibilities outlined in the OMB memo M-20-17, “Administrative Relief for Recipients and Applicants of Federal Financial Assistance Directly Impacted by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) due to Loss of Operations.”
AAU joined ACE and 75 other higher education organizations on a letter to congressional leaders urging them to “quickly enact temporary and targeted liability protections related to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
AAU joined APLU, AAMC, and ACE on a letter to Senate leaders and the leaders of the Senate Appropriations Committee to urge them to provide at least $26 billion in supplemental appropriations for federal research agencies in the next COVID-19 relief measure.
