The Coalition for National Security Research, of which AAU is a member, sent a letter to acting Defense Secretary Christopher C. Miller, Office of Management and Budget Director Russell T. Vought, acting Under Secretary for the Office of Research and Engineering Michael Kratsios, and Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Kelvin Droegemeier to request increased funding for Defense programs in the department’s FY22 budget request.
The Coalition for National Security Research, which includes AAU, sent a letter to House and Senate defense appropriations leaders to highlight the coalition’s funding priorities for the FY21 Defense appropriations measure.
The Task Force on American Innovation sent a letter to House and Senate appropriations leaders urging them to include increased investments for science and technology research and development in FY21 appropriations.

AAU led a group of 28 organizations on a letter to the House and Senate Armed Services and Judiciary Committees in support of two key provisions included in the House version of the FY21 National Defense Authorization Act.
Today, AAU joined ACE and 12 other higher education organizations on a letter to House and Senate Armed Services Committee leaders urging them to include Sec. 1763 of the FY21 National Defense Authorization Act in the final conferenced FY21 National Defense Authorization Act.
AAU and APLU sent a letter to House and Senate Armed Services Committee Leaders to outline critical policy provisions that negotiators should include in the final S. 4049/H.R. 6395, the FY21 National Defense Authorization Act
The Task Force on American Innovation, of which AAU is a member, sent a letter to the leadership of the House Armed Services Committee and the Senate Armed Services Committee urging the need to include formal research and development provisions in their final FY21 NDAA conference report.
AAU joined EDUCAUSE, COGR, and APLU in sending a letter expressing concern for the DOD and the CMMC Accreditation Body urging DOD to exclude fundamental research from the CMMC program and establish a dialogue with member institutions.
