AAU joined ACE and 83 other higher education organizations in a comment letter to the Department of Education’s Feb. 15 Dear Colleague Letter, “Requirements and Responsibilities for Third-Party Servicers and Institutions.”
House members signed DCL in support of $11.3 billion for NSF in FY24 CJS Appropriations bill.
AAU, ACE, and 7 other higher education associations sent a comment letter expressing strong support for the Department of Education’s proposal to rescind a portion of its 2020 “free inquiry rule” related to religious student organizations at public colleges and universities.
The Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) Coalition, which includes AAU, sent a letter to the leadership of the House and Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittees requesting no less than $500 million for AFRI in FY24.
The Double Pell Alliance, which includes AAU, sent a letter to leaders of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees asking them to “make bold new investments in the Pell Grant program, with the goal of increasing the maximum Pell award to $13,000.”
Nearly 400 members of the Ad Hoc Group for Medical Research, including AAU and many AAU member institutions, joined a statement recommending that Congress provide at least $50.924 billion for the National Institutes of Health in FY24.
Friends of IES, of which AAU is a member, sent a letter to leadership in the Labor, HHS, Education & Related Agencies subcommittees of the Appropriations committees in the House and Senate urging them to provide $900 million in funding for the Institute of Education Sciences (IES).
AAU joined ACE and 13 other higher education associations in sending a comment letter to the U.S. Department of Education about possible changes to the 2011 Dear Colleague letter on the incentive compensation prohibition and bundled services exception, specifically in regard to online program managers (OPMs).
CNSF sent letters to congressional science appropriators requesting at least $11.9 billion in funding for the National Science Foundation in FY24.
Yesterday, AAU joined ACE and over 20 other higher education associations in submitting a comment letter on the proposed Department of Homeland Security rule adjusting fees for various immigration services and benefits provided by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
