On July 27, 2018 Association of American Universities, Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, Council on Governmental Relations, the Association of American Medical Colleges, and the American Council on Education submitted comments in response to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Request for Information (RFI) Regarding Federal Technology Transfer Authorities and Processes. The RFI requested input on the current state of Federal technology transfer and the public’s ability to engage with Federal laboratories and access federally-funded R&D through collaborations, licensing, and other mechanisms.
