The Coalition for National Science Funding, of which AAU is a member, sent a letter to the Office of Management and Budget and Congressional leaders urging them to work together to pass a two-year bipartisan budget agreement to increase the FY20 spending caps for discretionary programs.

The Coalition for National Security Research (CNSR), of which AAU is a member, wrote to the Senate and House Committees on Armed Services providing recommendations for the FY2020 National Defense Authorization Act.

The Task Force on American Innovation (TFAI), of which AAU is a member, released a statement on the release of President Trump’s FY20 budget proposal.

Friends of IES, a coalition of organizations including AAU, sent a letter urging Congress to reach an agreement to raise the discretionary budget caps and provide $670M for IES in FY20.

The Friends of the Institute of Education Sciences, consisting of 30 organizations including AAU, sent a letter to House and Senate LHHS leadership to request $670 million for the Education Department’s Institute of Education Sciences.

AAU joined the Supporters of Agricultural Research (SoAR) Foundation in a letter urging Congress to provide $445 million for AFRI in FY20.

The Student Aid Alliance, of which AAU is a member, sent a letter to Congress urging a bipartisan budget agreement to raise the discretionary budget caps and commit to making student aid funding a continued priority in the FY2020 appropriations process.
