AAU President Barbara R. Snyder Congratulates Michael Kratsios on the Nomination to be the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy

“Congratulations to former White House Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Michael Kratsios on being named by President-elect Trump to be director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) as well as assistant to the president in the upcoming administration.

“We appreciate the previous leadership he provided in the first Trump administration at OSTP as CTO to the United States and as Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering at the Department of Defense.    We look forward to working together with him again to support the science required to drive innovation and spur our nation’s economic growth, boost U.S. manufacturing, save lives and improve Americans' health, strengthen our national security, and ensure that America maintains its global scientific and technological leadership.”
