AAU, along with other higher education organizations, joined a letter led by ACE to the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. The letter expresses strong opposition to the Bipartisan Workforce Pell Act, which is scheduled for markup on December 12th. The letter states “This is a model that has served students well for decades, yet the offset in this bill would upend this fundamental approach, instead creating a system where Congress selects winners and losers, limiting individual choice, especially for low-income students.”
