AAU joined ACE and 46 other higher education organizations in a comment letter to Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona regarding a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on “Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment (GE), Financial Responsibility, Certification Procedures, Administrative Capability, and Ability to Benefit.” This letter outlines the associations’ support for the department’s intent to increase transparency and accountability for colleges and universities. It lists several measures in the NPRM that the associations support as well as measures that the associations believe the department needs to reconsider.
