The efforts of the University of Kansas CSTEM is focused by three areas of work:
- The UKanTeach Secondary STEM Teacher Preparation Program is a four year program of study in which undergraduate STEM students complete their BS or BA in a STEM discipline along with the UKanTeach program courses, to obtain a Bachelor’s degree that includes eligibility for a secondary teaching license,
- The Undergraduate STEM Learning effort works broadly with all of the STEM disciplines and departments. CSTEM is developing a framework that articulates a broad set of expectations for KU undergraduate students’ understanding of STEM, and
- Engage Scholarship and Research Outreach programs that are working with a number of community organizations to apply our research findings and work to the collaborative programming.
