Since 2011, the Institute for Quantitative Theory and Methods (QuanTM) has sought to foster and strengthen quantitative scholarship in the Emory community.
QuanTM currently runs a college-wide statistics course, an undergraduate fellowship program, pre-doctoral and visiting faculty fellowships, a faculty skill-building leave program, a statistical consulting service, an annual speaker series and workshops. The Institute also is excited to be offering a new B.S. in Quantitative Sciences in the fall of 2014. The Quantitative Sciences major provides a comprehensive education that pairs developing and applying critical skills in the real world applications of data analysis with in depth knowledge of a chosen academic field—whether it be in the social sciences, natural sciences, or humanities.
QuanTM’s new and innovative curriculum prepares students for variety of professional careers and excellent preparation for graduate school. More information about the Institute and the various pathways within the QSS major may be found at http://quantitative.emory.edu/index.html
