Outgoing KU Chancellor Reflects on Barrier-breaking Eight Years of Leading the University

Bernadette Gray-Little became KU’s 17th chancellor in August 2009. With Gray-Little’s eight-year tenure coming to a close, The Lawrence Journal-World interviewed her about her time at KU, and what she plans to do next.

“I like universities. I like what they’re supposed to do, what they stand for, what they represent," Gray-Little said. "I like the idea of a place that both produces and discovers knowledge, and that teaches and provides those kinds of experiences for students.”
