Marcy E. Gallo is an analyst in Science and Technology Policy in the CRS Resources Science and Industry Division (RSI). She focuses on a broad range of science and technology issues, including federally-funded research and development centers, federal prizes, defense research and development, and technology development and innovation. Before joining CRS, she held several senior positions on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, including serving as the Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Environment. Prior to the House Science Committee, she received a Congressional Science and Engineering Fellowship and worked in the office of Senator Joseph I. Lieberman. She earned a BS in biology from Marietta College, an MS in biology from the University of Toledo and a PhD in biology with a concentration in ecology from the University of New Mexico.
