More than 130 university presidents and chancellors sent a letter to the members of the Congressional Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction urging them to reach “a big agreement – not incremental steps” while working to close the nation’s budget deficit.
A letter to OMB Director Jacob Lew urging the Administration to continue to make federal student aid and basic research priorities for strategic investment spending in the FY13 budget.
Letter to the President and Congress to emphasize bipartisan compromise rather than contention. We call upon them to join together with Congress in making the tough choices on all elements of the federal budget in order to reduce deficits, bring the national debt under control and empower economic growth and job production.
