With the transition to a new administration about to begin, the Association of American Universities (AAU) extends congratulations to Donald J. Trump, the new president-elect.
AAU and its members look forward to working with the new president and his incoming administration on maintaining America’s scientific and technological leadership in the world, spurring the discoveries and innovation that lead to economic growth and new businesses, attracting and retaining the best and the brightest talent from around the world, and educating the high-skilled U.S. workforce our nation needs to compete in today’s global economy.
As AAU has done for previous presidential transitions, our government relations and public policy department will provide President Trump’s transition team with policy recommendations and is eager to engage with them as well as with the members and leaders of the new 119th Congress to be sworn in on January 3.
America’s leading research universities will work with President Trump and his administration to leverage the government-university research partnership and higher education capabilities to address the critical challenges facing our country.
