AAU, ASSOCIATIONS COMMENT ON NASA SEXUAL ASSAULT AND HARASSMENT REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
AAU, together with COGR, ACE, APLU, CUPA-HR, AASCU, and NAICU, yesterday submitted comments in response to a Federal Register notice titled “Reporting Requirements Regarding Findings of Sexual Harassment, other Forms of Harassment, or Sexual Assault.” In the letter, the organizations lay out their questions, comments, and recommendations for NASA’s efforts to introduce reporting requirements, highlighting the need for clarification, their unintended consequences, assigning responsibility for reporting, interaction with pending and existing Title IX and other federal and state rules, and more. The organizations say, “an open and comprehensive dialogue between NASA and the community is essential if we are to combat and end sexual harassment in the scientific workplace.”

AAU is currently seeking applications for its Policy Research Associate position. Under the direction of the Director of Policy Research, the Policy Research Associate conducts research, surveys and quantitative analyses; compiles and organizes data; and uses new and existing data sources to prepare, enter, arrange and display data in meaningful and useful formats for those who must understand and evaluate it.
