AAU Files Motion to Intervene in Lawsuit Brought by 17 State Attorneys General Challenging Rushed Roll-Out of ACTS Data Collection Survey

On Wednesday, March 25, AAU filed a motion to intervene in a lawsuit brought by 17 state attorneys general in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts challenging the overly burdensome nature and rushed roll-out of the Admissions and Consumer Transparency Supplement (ACTS) survey to the IPEDS data collection system.

The court filings address the sweeping and burdensome requirements and data and privacy concerns associated with the survey and the imminent and irreparable harm that AAU members will suffer as a result of its implementation.

Below are legal filings by AAU seeking to intervene in this case on behalf of our membership challenging this rushed, burdensome, and unlawful collection of information.
