AAU, together with ACE, and other higher education organizations sent a letter to House Judiciary Immigration and Citizenship Subcommittee Chair Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) and Ranking Member Ken Buck (R-CO) in advance of the “Policy Changes and Processing Delays at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services” hearing July 16. The letter highlights the contributions of the over one million international students that currently attend U.S. colleges and universities to our nation’s intellectual and cultural vibrancy, and their significant economic impact. AAU and other organizations look forward to working with Congress and administration “to continue to address these issues and ensure that the U.S. remains a welcoming country for international students and scholars.”
