Alexander Perez

Senior Federal Relations Officer

Alexander Perez serves as AAU’s Senior Federal Relations Officer. In this role, he is responsible for funding and policy issues related to the National Endowment for Humanities, the Department of Education’s Title VI International program, and shares responsibilities for overall budget and appropriations issues. He also teams with other staff to provide policy, legislative, and analytical support for federal relations priorities.

Prior to joining AAU in August 2021, Alexander worked for David Turch & Associates as a Federal Lobbyist representing Cities/Counties, airports and defense contractors. On Capitol Hill, he served on the staff of Florida Congressman Joe Garcia and New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez.

Alexander earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Seton Hall University.
